Jeff Hamlin has been involved in the antiques business
for more than 35 years, and before becoming involved in the business,
was a collector of Pattern glass and Disney memorabilia, at a very young age!
Jeff is well respected for his knowledge in the field and has been a
guest speaker at various groups interested in antiques, as well as
lecturing at courses in antique appreciation and appraisals in the past.
Jeff left his job at Don Snell Buick in 2001, where he had been a
service advisor for 21 years, to devote full time to the appraisal
and estate business he started in 1990. While having a broad range
of knowledge about antiques and collectibles, his particular areas of
interest include silver, art pottery, and American brilliant cut glass.
Jeff has also had a longstanding interest in classic cars, including
personally restoring several early Ford Mustangs.

Bob Williams retired as a senior vice-president from Bank of America
in 1995, after a 34-year career in commercial lending and senior credit
policy and administration. He has also been active in civic and charitable areas,
including serving two-year terms as president to both Goodwill Industries
and Catholic Charities of Dallas. Bob handles the administrative and
financial aspects of the business.
His special love is Suzie, a 4-year old female poodle mix he adopted in 2014,
and who has become a great favorite of many of our customers, as well as an
important part of our "sale" family. Suzie has proved a popular successor
to Clancy, another poodle, who we sadly lost in 2013, at the age of 18.
Clancy had been part of our estate sale family 12 years, having been adopted

Malda Bates has worked with Jeff and Bob since 2001, first
getting to know Jeff when she heard him lecture at an appraisal school taught
on the SMU campus. Malda has become our indispensable right hand, involved
in many aspects of the business. She accompanies us to preview possible sales,
helps with sale preparation and pricing, and handles our email notices for each sale.
In October 2000, Malda received a certificate of successful completion of
Appraisal Studies accredited by the University of Maryland University College.
Malda uses her experience and research abilities to help Jeff with pricing,
and also assists in offering selected items on eBay, when it is determined
that would be a more appropriate sales approach than being included in an
in-house sale. As you can tell, Malda has long been interested in acquiring
knowledge of antiques and has now found a way to put that knowledge to work.
